I just got some updates from the scene of a fire that broke out at a scrapyard on Monday. The address is 4430 W 14th Street. Engine 103 was the first unit to arrive on the scene. They had been responding to a carbon monoxide call at another location when they got redirected here. Meanwhile, Engine 38 was already tied up at a fire incident in the 1400 block of Avers. When Engine 103 arrived, they immediately started tackling the blaze. Engine 113 quickly followed up by going into line to pump water and support Engine 103. Squad 1 also joined in to help extinguish the flames from this massive pile of scrap metal. The firefighting efforts were coordinated with multiple units. Along with Engine 103 and 113, Truck 19 and Truck 26 were dispatched for additional support. Squad 1, along with Battalion 18 and Command 2-2-4, were all part of the operation. It was quite an intense scene as these firefighters worked together to bring the situation under control. Here's a quick glimpse of what the scene looked like: ![Chi-Town Fire Photos](#) And there are more images from the site if you're interested. Stay safe out there!
