This evening on April 17, 2013, the Berwyn Fire Department responded to a fire at the intersection of Stanley Avenue and Grove Avenue. Upon arrival, first responders noticed heavy smoke coming from the roof of a two-story building that houses businesses on the first floor and apartments on the second. Engine 900 took command on Grove Avenue and reported that two lines were being stretched for an interior attack. Truck 904 was assigned to the roof, while Quint 901 was positioned for a master stream, though it wasn’t needed. Notably, the new Ford Expedition was seen assigned to Incident Command 900, and Engine 902 now has a bright red and white LED light bar. Here are some of my photos from the scene.
