Subject: Chicago Fire Department Responds to Box Alarm Fire at 1058 N Karlov
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share some photos from the scene of a recent fire we responded to in Chicago. It was quite an eventful day for our team!
Here’s what happened: Around mid-afternoon, we received a still and box alarm call about a fire at 1058 North Karlov Avenue. By the time our Tower Ladder 14 unit arrived on the scene, there was already significant smoke billowing out of the building. Our first priority was obviously to ensure everyone inside had safely evacuated, which thankfully they had.
As you can see from these images I managed to snap (attached below), our firefighters were hard at work assessing the situation and getting the blaze under control as quickly as possible. The conditions were challenging, but our guys did an amazing job containing the flames before they could spread further.
One of the most striking things about this incident was how well coordinated the entire response effort was. From the initial dispatch to the final clean-up, every department worked seamlessly together to minimize damage and keep people safe. It’s always inspiring to witness such teamwork firsthand.
