A house in Lisle caught fire early Saturday morning, resulting in two adults and four children aged between three and twelve being taken to the hospital.

Firefighters from the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District responded to calls from both passersby and an occupant of the two-story home located in the 4700 block of Dumoulin Avenue, according to Fire Chief Keith Krestan. The initial 911 call was made around 8:40 a.m., and emergency crews arrived just four minutes later to find the house fully engulfed. The fire was brought under control within 30 to 40 minutes.

All six victims were taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. Two of them are currently in serious condition, while the others are listed as guarded.

The community is on edge following the incident, with many residents expressing concern over the safety of the neighborhood. Local officials have urged homeowners to check their smoke detectors and ensure they have working fire extinguishers. As the investigation continues, more updates are expected in the coming hours.
