From NBCChicago: Lieutenant Andrew "Drew" Price, a 39-year-old firefighter with the Chicago Fire Department, was laid to rest last Monday following his tragic death while responding to a fire in a Lincoln Park building on November 13th. Price had been with the department for 14 years and was highly regarded as the driver of Truck 44. His positive energy and infectious personality made him beloved by everyone he encountered. The Navy Pier's Aon Grand Ballroom was filled with mourners paying their respects to Price's family, friends, and colleagues. Known as a devoted husband, brother, son, and uncle, Price was remembered fondly for his ability to light up any room. The gathering was a testament to his impact on those around him and the community he served. Flags have been flying at half-staff until sundown on November 20th in honor of Price, who became the fourth firefighter to lose their life in the line of duty this year. Earlier in August, Lieutenant Kevin Ward, aged 59, succumbed to injuries sustained during a blaze in Norwood Park. In April, two firefighters, Jermaine Pelt, 49, and Jan Tchoryk, 55, also lost their lives fighting separate fires within the city limits.
