Hey everyone,
Just wanted to share my experience from the IFBA regional meeting I attended on Saturday. It was a fantastic event, and afterward, the organizers hosted an amazing apparatus shoot exclusively for the Racine Fire Department. I couldn’t believe how incredible it was to get up close and personal with their entire fleet of firefighting vehicles. It was such a unique opportunity to not only see but also take some great photos of these impressive machines.
While I was there, I also got the chance to visit the Racine fire museum. Honestly, it’s something that everyone should check out if they’re ever in the area—it’s truly worth the visit. The museum does an excellent job showcasing the history of firefighting in Racine and has some really fascinating exhibits.
It wasn’t just about the vehicles though; I also had the pleasure of meeting and catching up with several members of the fire buff club. It’s always great to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. Everyone was so welcoming, and we had a blast together. Huge shoutouts to the Fire Bell Club and the Racine FD officers and members for making the day so memorable!
