The 1996 Aurora Flood is a powerful documentary that captures the devastating impact of an extraordinary rainfall event. In just 24 hours, nearly 17 inches of rain fell on Aurora, causing widespread flooding and chaos across the region. The video features original footage as well as news clips from WGN TV, offering a firsthand look at the disaster's severity. It was released on the 25th anniversary of the flood to the newly launched RADIOMAN911 YouTube channel. The film not only shows the extreme weather conditions but also highlights the brave efforts of local fire departments, including Aurora, Montgomery, and South Park FPD (now part of Aurora Township Fire Protection District). It’s a moving reminder of how communities come together in times of crisis.
