Recently, the Institute of Magnetic Physics and Magnetic Technology, part of the School of Fluid Power and Control at Lanzhou University of Technology, has successfully developed a new induction ring asynchronous high-temperature magnetic pump. This breakthrough represents a significant advancement in the field of fluid handling, particularly for extreme environments. The pump is designed to handle highly hazardous materials such as flammable, explosive, toxic, and corrosive substances, while ensuring complete leak-free operation. It transports these media under environmentally friendly, safe, and pure conditions, making it ideal for sensitive industrial applications. The pump can operate with a transport medium temperature reaching up to 450°C without requiring any external cooling, which enhances its efficiency and reliability. This technology finds wide application across various industries, including chemical processing, metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, film copying, electroplating, nuclear power, vacuum systems, semiconductor manufacturing, and food production. Additionally, the pump features a soft start function when handling viscous liquids, reducing mechanical stress and extending its service life. Currently, this advanced technology is only mastered by the British company HMD internationally, and there are no domestic manufacturers in China capable of producing similar pumps. This development marks a major step forward in China's capability to innovate in high-performance fluid handling systems, offering a promising alternative to imported solutions.
