In China's automotive industry, automatic transmissions have long been reliant on foreign imports or joint ventures that depend on foreign intellectual property. However, this situation is changing. Geely, a leading Chinese automaker, recently launched its independently developed fully automatic transmission in the first half of this year. This groundbreaking product has already been integrated into several car models currently in production. It marks a significant milestone as China's first self-developed automatic transmission with full intellectual property rights. The development of this transmission was led by the Geely Automobile Research Institute, which has been working on a range of products tailored for engines from 1.3L to 1.6L. Established in 2000, the institute has grown significantly over the years. In the first half of last year, Geely invested 350 million yuan to expand its research facilities, aiming to strengthen its own brand ambitions. To accelerate progress, the company invited Shen Fengji, a former vice president of Daewoo Motors in South Korea, as well as the former president of the Daewoo Motor Research Institute and the Korea Automobile Engineering Association. He now serves as vice president of R&D and dean of the Automotive Research Institute, bringing valuable expertise and experience from South Korea’s advanced transmission technology. According to data from the China Gear Professional Association, China's auto transmissions have historically lacked independent intellectual property, relying heavily on imports. For instance, in 2001, the country imported $480 million worth of car automatic transmissions, rising to $600 million in 2002, $860 million in 2003, and $730 million in just the first seven months of 2004. Experts predict that if this trend continues, by 2010, China could be importing car transmissions worth billions of yuan annually. Geely’s breakthrough represents a major step forward for Chinese automakers, showing that homegrown innovation is not only possible but also competitive. This year, companies like Chery and Jiangling have also made impressive strides, proving that China’s national brands are gaining momentum. The year 2005 marked a turning point, with a growing sense of confidence and capability in the domestic automotive sector.

Hot Melt Adhesive For Carton And Box

Hot melt adhesive is a kind of plastic adhesive, in a certain temperature range, its physical state changes with the temperature, and the chemical characteristics remain unchanged, its non-toxic and tasteless, is an environmentally friendly chemical product.

Hot melt adhesive is the use of hot melt machine through the heat to melt the hot melt adhesive, the glue after melting into a liquid, through the hot melt machine throat and spray gun, sent to the surface of the bonded material, hot melt adhesive cooling is completed the bonding, it can meet the requirements of the carton sealing, and overcome the previous carton sealing form defects.

Advantages of hot melt adhesive bonding:

1, fast, the whole bonding process only takes 1-3 seconds to complete (even faster).

2, occupy less space, hot melt adhesive body shape is small, only a small space.

3, the lowest production cost per unit of product.

4, the bonding effect is good, the bonding strength is high, and the overall strength of the carton after bonding is strengthened, so that the carton is not easy to deform and crack.

5, no waste disposal problem. Meet the requirements of environmental protection, meet the requirements of export packaging.

6, with anti-theft effect, can cite whether the packaging object has been opened without authorization.

7, can adjust different spraying methods to play a role in identification and anti-counterfeiting.
