Xiangyang District in Xiangfan City, Hubei Province, is witnessing a significant industrial transformation. On January 9, local reporters Zhang Maoqing, Liu Dong, and Li Yunfeng learned that a major project with an investment of 120 million yuan, led by Xiangyang Haojili Food Co., Ltd., has officially started construction. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by the end of this month, with the entire development set to finish by year-end. Once fully operational, the project will create over 3,000 jobs. This initiative reflects the district’s focus on expanding its four key industries: food processing, auto parts, textiles, and logistics. In recent years, Xiangyang has been committed to building an industrial zone, aiming to accelerate industrialization and bridge the gaps in its industrial structure. By promoting industrial development and leveraging agricultural resources, the district has fostered a development model that emphasizes "revitalizing and driving the tertiary sector." This approach has created a strong environment where all sectors support and contribute to industrial growth. Through initiatives like "three one batch" — fostering pillar industries, large enterprises, and well-known brands — the district is working to boost its industrialization process. The district has focused on developing four core industries: auto parts, textiles, food, and modern logistics. Each industry has seen significant progress. For example, the auto parts sector has gained momentum by serving major companies like Dongqi, with projects such as Ronghua Industrial Park and Changyuan Donggu under development. Last year, the sector achieved an output value exceeding 600 million yuan. In textiles, companies like Anhua Textile and Xiangyang Garment have expanded their operations, investing over 100 million yuan in new facilities. The food industry has also grown, with established firms like Wanbao Grain Oil and Zhengda Feed expanding production, while focusing on deep processing of agricultural products. Meanwhile, the logistics sector has attracted major investments, including the Huazhong Guangcai Market and Tianrun International Automobile City, both receiving over 400 million yuan in funding. In addition to industrial growth, the district is also promoting brand development. It has actively supported local products such as "Liucao Vinegrass King," "Kongming Kohlrabi," and "Wanbao" grain oil, which have gained recognition both within and outside the province. Notably, "Liucao Vinegrass King" has been exported to over 20 countries and regions, including Europe, the U.S., Japan, and South Korea. These efforts highlight Xiangyang's commitment to sustainable and high-quality economic growth.
