On November 14, 2015, the 15th National Wood Drying Academic Symposium and the 7th Council of the China Forest Products Industry Association Timber Drying Professional Committee was opened at Changsha Central South University of Forestry and Technology. The conference was organized by the China Forestry Society Timber Industry Branch. The Drying Research Institute and the Central South University of Forestry and Technology and other units contracted. During the two days of the conference, more than one hundred experts and scholars from universities and research institutions throughout the country will conduct thorough communication and exchanges on basic research, process development, and wood modification of wood drying at home and abroad.
The National Academic Seminar is held once every two years. It aims to intensify the research and development of timber drying theory and applied technology through the wisdom of a large number of experts and scholars, enhance the innovative capacity of wood drying technology, promote the efficient and cost-effective use of wood resources, and realize science. Technology aims to promote the sustainable development of the wood drying industry in order to enhance the technological level of the enterprise and serve the enterprise's competitiveness.
At the meeting, experts and scholars conducted in-depth discussions on the drying technology research of precious materials, imported materials, impregnated modified materials, and other biomass materials, and promoted energy saving, environmental protection, efficient drying, and heat treatment technology advancement. Under the background of “Internet+â€, experts also discussed how to carry out the innovation of wood drying theory and technology in the “Internet Plus†era.
The conference was organized by the Wood Drying Research Association of the China Forestry Society, the Zhongnan District Group of the Wood Industry Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society, and the Wood Drying Professional Committee of the China Forest Products Industry Association.
