At 04:45 on Sunday morning (December 23), Engine 75 arrived at 117th and LaSalle Street and reported a fire in a 2.5-story frame building. Shortly after, Battalion 22 requested additional resources, stating that there was fire in two structures. Firefighters made forced entry into the building and discovered a significant amount of fire in the attic. Despite the challenging conditions, crews managed to access the attic and bring the fire under control before it could spread further.
