ExxonMobil™ Refining and Supply Joliet Refinery Turns to Ferrara® Fire Apparatus for New Equipment

HOLDEN, LA – Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc., a leading manufacturer of fire equipment under REV Group®, is proud to announce that ExxonMobil Refining and Supply Joliet Refinery has selected their Inferno® Industrial Super Pumper® as part of its latest emergency response upgrade.

Located 40 miles southwest of Chicago, the Joliet Refinery is enhancing its fleet with a high-performance fire apparatus designed to meet growing operational demands. The new unit, an Inferno Series industrial pumper, was chosen after a thorough evaluation of safety, performance, and efficiency needs.

"Ferrara was able to deliver exactly what we needed in a tight timeframe," said Chief Michael Smith of the Joliet Refinery. "We required a powerful, maneuverable unit that could handle our increasing flow requirements. The Inferno not only met those standards but exceeded them."

The custom-built unit features a two-door cab, a MAXX-Strength marine-grade aluminum body, and advanced firefighting technology. One of the standout features is the Wireless Remote Controlled Task Force Tips Tsunami deck gun, which significantly reduces the number of personnel needed during large-scale operations. This innovation helps save time and resources while improving on-site safety.

Additionally, the unit is equipped with the FoamPro® AccuMax® Fusion system, offering 300 GPM of concentrated foam flow and dual 3-inch intake connections. This adds versatility to the refinery’s existing balanced pressure foam systems, making it more adaptable to different emergency scenarios.
