Application of the Spiral Chute:
The spiral chute is a gravity separation device used to separate various non-ferrous metals, rare metals, and non-metallic minerals. It is widely applied in the processing of iron ore, gold ore, ilmenite, chromite, pyrite, zircon, rutile, monazite, phosphorite, tungsten ore, tin, tantalum, niobium ore, and more.
Working Principle:
Operating under the combined forces of water flow, gravity, centrifugal force, and friction, the spiral chute works by feeding slurry into the top of the spiral. The slurry is evenly distributed through a feed distributor. As it flows down the spiral, mineral particles settle and are sorted based on size, density, and to a lesser extent, shape. Lighter particles are carried outward by the water flow, while heavier particles move toward the inner edge of the spiral, enabling efficient separation without the need for power.
