Summary:

It is a helical gear pump with an integrated bypass valve, ideal for pumping clean viscous liquids without abrasive or solid particles.
These pumps can operate dry for a limited time, allowing the use of a suction hose to collect fluids from a tank. However, they should not be run dry for extended periods, as oil is necessary to lubricate the pump head.
