Description of the 2SK Pump:
The 2SK series two-stage water ring vacuum pump and the 2SK-P1 series two-stage water ring vacuum pump with air injection unit are advanced vacuum pumps designed for high vacuum levels, fast evacuation in high vacuum ranges, compact design, reliable performance, and easy maintenance. These units are developed according to the standards outlined in JB/TQ354-84 (Water Ring Vacuum Pumps and Water Ring Air Compressors).
This unit combines a single-stage air injection pump with a two-stage water ring vacuum pump, allowing separate operation based on customer requirements.
The two-stage water ring vacuum pump or unit is ideal for pumping air and other non-corrosive gases that are insoluble in water and free of solid particles, enabling high vacuum in sealed systems.
Working Principle:
When the eccentrically mounted impellers rotate inside the pump body, water is thrown outward by centrifugal force, forming a rotating water ring between the inner surface of the pump casing and the impeller. As the impeller rotates clockwise, the water ring gradually moves away from the hub during the first half of the rotation, creating a cavity where gas is drawn in through the suction port. During the second half of the rotation, the water ring approaches the hub again, compressing the gas and expelling it through the discharge port. This continuous process allows the system to achieve and maintain a high vacuum level.
The air injection pump works as a jet injector. When the two-stage water ring vacuum pump creates a certain level of vacuum, the atmosphere pump is connected once maximum vacuum is reached. At this point, air (or compressed gas) is rapidly drawn into the pipe due to the pressure difference between the air and the intake line. After being spouted, the flow rate increases, reducing the pressure and achieving a higher vacuum level than the pump alone, allowing further gas to be drawn into the system.
For two-stage water ring vacuum pumps with a capacity over 1.5 m³/min, the longer impeller and shorter impeller are fixed to the shaft using pins, and a shaft sleeve and locknut connect them, forming the rotor. The impellers are installed eccentrically within the pump body and supported by radial ball bearings. The rotor is connected to the motor via a coupling and rotates together with the motor. The longer impeller, longer pump body, and suction section create a high vacuum, while the shorter pump body, shorter impeller, and discharge section form a low vacuum. The air outlet of the high-vacuum section is connected to the suction inlet of the low-vacuum section via a communication pipe. The two sections are separated by intermediate walls, with one having an intake port. The 2SK series pumps are mechanically sealed at both ends.
The high-vacuum segment has a water inlet hole for filling make-up water into the longer pump body, while the low-vacuum segment's make-up water is discharged from the high-vacuum side. For models like 2SK-12A, 2SK-20A, and 2SK-30A, some make-up water is supplied from the water supply pipe but requires regulation via valves. The high and low-vacuum segments are secured together with draw-in bolts. The air injection pump consists of an inlet air pipe, jet nozzle, air valve body, and diffuser.
