A two-and-a-half story residential building is involved in a fire at 5318 Laflin. So far, there are no reported injuries. Firefighters are currently on the defensive as they work to contain the blaze.
The incident occurred around 2:11 AM at 5318 Laflin. The structure has been fully engulfed, and crews are working to prevent the fire from spreading further. Fortunately, the third building adjacent to the main structure was saved using a water curtain.
The main fire building sustained heavy damage, with thick black smoke visible from several blocks away. Firefighters are still on scene, conducting salvage and overhaul operations.
