Winnetka Fire Department officially put their new Engine 28 into service on Tuesday, June 7th, 2016. Here are a few photos showing the new engine alongside some of their older units. There's also a side-by-side shot comparing the new engine with the 2000 Pierce Saber that’s being moved into reserve. The 1996 Pierce Saber with the white roof is currently for sale.

It’s always interesting to see how fire departments evolve over time. This new Engine 28 looks modern and well-equipped, while the older models still have their own charm and history. It’s great to see the department maintaining a mix of equipment, keeping some units in service while transitioning others into reserve. If you're ever in Winnetka, it's worth checking out their station to get a closer look at these impressive vehicles.
